Central Baptist College, as the No. 1 seed, will host the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference softball tournament Thursday and Friday at City of Colleges Park.
The Lady Mustangs (44-4) have a 13-1 record in the four-team NAIA conference. It's the second year for CBC in the NAIA. The Lady Mustangs won the National Christian College Athletic Association national title in 2010.
CBC is 13-1 in conference this season. No. 2 seed Bellevue of Nebraska is also 13-1 in the league. The Lady Mustangs open play at noon Thursday against No. 4 seed Oklahoma Wesleyan. No. 3 seed Southwestern Christian will play Bellevue at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Losers bracket games are at 4:30 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday. If the Lady Mustangs win, they will play at winners bracket game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The championship round begins at 1 p.m. Friday with another game, if necessary in the double-elimimation tournament, at 3 p.m. Friday.
