Seth McLemore (JR/Pulaski, TN) went 1-2, but the CBC Mustangs still fell to Williams Baptist College 11-6 in seven innings in the second game on Friday at Walnut Ridge, AR. McLemore did his best to jumpstart the offense for CBC Mustangs, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning.
Braxton Rhodes got the win for Williams Baptist College. He allowed one run over five innings. Rhodes struck out five, walked four and gave up three hits.
Rhodes, Daniel Lester and Blake Coffman helped lead Williams Baptist College. They combined for seven hits and eight RBIs. Stephen Swagerty (JR/Sherwood, AR) ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.

A four-run sixth inning helped bring the Mustangs within five. A groundout by Santez Richardson (SO/Donalsonville, GA), an RBI single by Brent Bunker (JR/Searcy, AR), an RBI single by Deonta Howard (JR/White Hall, AR), and a passed ball fueled CBC Mustangs' comeback. The CBC Mustangs threat came to an end when Michael Ludwig finally got Buczek to hit into a fielders choice.
One run in the top of the seventh helped CBC Mustangs close its deficit to 11-6. A passed ball set off the CBC Mustangs rally. Finally, Michael Ludwig got Howard to ground out to end the game.
