The CBC Mustangs split the weekend conference series 3-1 with Waldorf College at Victory Field at Conway Christian.
Friday, CBC won games, the first game 11-1 and the second 8-1.
In game one, twenty two hits and six runs in the early innings decided it quickly. Sacrifice flies by Sam Buczek, and Aaron Boucher, an RBI double by Buczek, and a two run home run by Santez Richardson put runs up early. Richardson finished with two RBIs on three hits. Aaron Kincaid struck out six, allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk in recording the win.
In the second game on Friday, Stephen Swagerty got the win with ten strikeouts, one earned run on five hits and two walks. The Mustangs' Santez Richardson, Seth McLemore, Deonta Howard and Nash Nichols combined for seven hits and three RBIs. Howard had two extra-base hits for CBC Mustangs. He doubled in the second and fifth innings.
In Saturday's first game The Warriors scored in the ninth to win 5-4. Josh Buczek racked up three RBIs on four hits for CBC Mustangs. He singled in the first, fifth, sixth, and eighth innings. Gunner Allen took the loss for the Mustangs. He went 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
In the final game of the series, CBC bounced back for a 4-3 victory. Ten hits lead by Santez Richardson who went 3-3 with one RBI. Seth McLemore and Aaron Boucher each went 2-3. Ryan Smith picked up the win allowing three earned runs on five hits and eight strike outs. Kody Gill got the save.
