Heber Springs, Ark. – The Central Baptist College Men's Golf Team finished sixth today in the Natural State Golf Classic at Red Apple Inn and Country Club. The tournament was hosted by Harding University.
The Par 71, 6451-yard course in Heber Springs was played by eleven teams, and a total 64 players. Henderson State led both days and finished with a minus-one, 567 (283, 284).
On Monday, the Mustangs were tied for eighth with a 299. Tyler Pinney led CBC on day one with a 70 and tied for sixth. Pinney finished tied with other Mustangs at 15th. American Midwest Conference Members Freed-Hardeman and Lyon College finished 10th and 11th respectively.
In the final day, CBC fired a team 284 to make the two day total 583 (+15). Three Mustangs finished tied at 15th with a two-day total of 145. They were Luke Cornett (75, 70), Austin Harmon (77, 68), and Tyler Pinney (70, 75). Joel Futrell finished with a 148 (77, 71) and Cameron Ressor at 155 (80, 75). Preston Harmon, playing individually finished 59, with a two-day total of 161 (79,82).
