Conway, Ark.- Central Baptist (3-16, 1-7) closed out the home portion of the season with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-15) loss to Williams Baptist College.
In the first set, both squads traded scores until a kill by WBC's Kayla Winfrey made it 5-6. Williams Baptist would run off seven straight points and take command for a 25-11 win.
The second set started much like the first as the score was tied early 5-5 before the Eagles reeled off six straight to take a 5-11 lead. CBC's Payton Cope (SR/Springhill, Ark.) would have a service ace to bring the Mustangs to 12-18. Gloria Bell (SR/Mountain Home, Ark.)'s kill would make it 14-20 as Williams prevailed 25-15.
In the final set, WBC opened with the first seven points before Gloria Bell's kill to draw CBC to 11-20. A service ace by Kelsy Knox (FR/Greenwood, Ark.) would bring the Mustangs to 15-22 before the final margin of 25-15 Williams.
