Dallas, TX. - The CBC Men's basketball team traveled to Tiger's Den Arena at Paul Quinn College for a non-conference match up on Saturday. The Mustangs (2-1) defeated PQC 81-63.
The Mustangs shot 49% on the night, while they shot 29% from the three-point line. The Tiger's out rebounded CBC by one, 40-39 but shot just 37%.
Paul Quinn lead the game for the first three minutes until a two-point jumper by Marcelious Green would give CBC the lead at 9-8, a lead they would never relinquish. Central Baptist would lead 38-26 at halftime.
Mike Evans would hit four of his eight points on the night to start the second half as CBC extended the lead by 14 points. A steal by Fred Albright that would feed Marcel Swinton for a basket would make it 69-48, a 21 point Central Baptist lead with under five minutes to play. Free throws by Mike Evans would end the game.
