CONWAY, Ark. - The Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs got the win at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse 67-52 over the Hannibal-Lagrange Trojans in American Midwest Conference action.
Four Mustangs scored in double figures this afternoon. Audrey Moran (JR/Viliona, AR) and Morgan Fimpel (JR/Maumelle, AR) both finished with 13. Moran also led CBC with six rebounds. Karlie Senko (FR/Bradford, AR) and Ashlyn Allen (FR/Lonoke, AR) each had ten points. Aaliyah Block (SR/Monticello, AR) followed closely with eight.
Both teams came out slow with HLGU taking a first quarter lead 14-9 with a three-point basket from Kelsey Caldwell. Caldwell would finish with nine points. The second quarter was even with CBC drawing within one point on a Karlie Senko three-pointer. The Lady Trojans would take a 30-25 lead into the half.
CBC would dominate the third and fourth quarters. An Aaliyah Block free throw would tie the game at 39 as the third quarter ended. Ashlyn Allen made a short jumper to put the Lady Mustangs ahead as the fourth quarter started. Fimpel's shot with 2:26 left would make it a 12-point lead and the Mustangs would make free throws down the stretch for the final margin.
