Columbia, Mo. - The CBC Mustangs went back and forth in the first half against NAIA #3 Columbia College but could not contain the Cougars as they fall 86-68.
CBC's Nick Jones (FR/Little Rock, AR) had a season high 16 points, Marcelious Green (JR/Houston, TX) added ten in the effort. Mike Evans (SR/North Little Rock, AR) had eight points and led with six rebounds. MonDarius Benson added nine points with Jayln McBride (SR/Jonesboro, AR) putting in eight.
The first half saw both teams working to keep it close as there were two ties early. Travis Vogt (CC) made it 28-16, the Cougars largest lead with 8:06 left in the half. With 5:37 left Mustangs' Jones scored off a Cougars turnover to give Central Baptist the lead 29-28. This would be the closest CBC would come in the half and the game.
CBC was held to 35.5% from the field while Columbia hit 51.9%. The loss gives Central Baptist a 11-6, 6-5 AMC record. Columbia is 19-1, 12-0 AMC.
