Conway Ark. – The Central Baptist Lady Mustangs hosted the Stephens College Stars in afternoon American Midwest Conference action at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. The Stars rallied in the second half to defeat CBC 59-51.
Audrey Moran (JR/Viliona, AR) led the Lady Mustangs with 14 points. This is the second game in a row with that total.
CBC's Aaliyah Block (SR/Monticello, AR) continued her late season surge barely missing a double double with ten points and eight rebounds. Block has scored in double figures in three of her last four games.
The Mustangs led 32-29 at the half with Moran dropping in eight of her 14 points. CBC shot 68.4% from the field in the first half, finishing with 39.6%.
Central Baptist led most of the game until Stars' Briana Clark tied the game at 44 at the close of the third quarter. Clark made the first basket of the fourth quarter to give Stephens the lead at 46-44 and would trade free throws for the final margin.
NEXT UP: The Mustangs host St Louis College of Pharmacy February 2nd with a 5:30 p.m. tip.
Homecoming is February 4th and the court will be presented between the women and men's games. The women tip off at 1:00 pm.
