Conway, Ark – The Central Baptist College Mustangs wrapped up their regular season with a win at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse over Lindenwood University-Belleville, 90-76.
The Mustangs finish the regular season at 19-9. Their 14-8 conference record was good enough to take 3rd place in their second season in the American Midwest Conference.
The Lynx opened the game with a jumper by LUB's David Shepard and that would be the only lead for the Lynx. Shepard would lead all scorers with 23 on the afternoon.
CBC's LaDarius Reed (SR/ Shreveport, LA) would lead the Mustangs in the first half with 12 points as CBC shot almost 53% from the field in the opening half. Central Baptist would lead by as many as 18 with the Lynx cutting it to 13 at the break, 47-34.
The Lynx would fight back in the second half on the shooting of Shepard and Chris Dean. Four times LUB would tie the score with the last at 73 with 5:05 left. Strong play by CBC's Andy Ettiene (JR/Jersery City, NJ) and Mustang free throws would put the game away.
Ettiene would finish with 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Mustangs. Mike Evans (SR/North Little Rock, AR) had 16 points and nine rebounds and LaDarius Reed finished with 12 points. Jayln McBride (SR/Jonesboro, AR) added ten points.
Seniors were honored between the Women's and Men's games.
