Winona Lake, In. - The Central Baptist College Men's basketball season came to a close at the NCCAA Division I Basketball Championship with a 95-64 loss at the hands of NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist this Friday afternoon.
The Patriots shot 47.8% from the field while the Mustangs shot 35.5% for the game. Dallas Baptist was also able to outrebound CBC 41-34.
Jayln McBride (SR/Jonesboro, AR) led Central Baptist with 14 points. Marcelious Green (JR/Houston, TX) and Fred Albright (SR/Little Rock, AR) each has 10 points with Teshawn Sims (SR/Conway, AR) adding eight. Mike Evans (SR/North Little Rock, AR) led the Mustangs with seven rebounds.
The Mustangs finished the season with a 23-12 record. The 23 wins are the most in the four seasons for Head Coach Wes Sullivan. The team also tied for third place in the American Midwest Conference regular season in just their second year in the league. This was the second year in a row for CBC to make the NCCAA Central Regional.
The NCCAA Men's and Women's National Championship game will be held March 18 in Winona, In and will feature No.1 seeded Colorado Christian University and the No. 6 seeded Ohio Christian University.
