Belleville, IL. – Central Baptist fell on Saturday in an American Midwest Conference doubleheader at Lindenwood-Belleville. The Lynx used a walk off homer in the opening game to win 8-7. They defeated the Mustangs 7-5 in the second game.
CBC scored in the first four innings to lead 7-0 before the Lynx scored three in both the fourth and fifth to narrow the gap. LBU's Drew Fair delivered the fatal blow with his two run blast to left field. The Mustangs used six pitchers as the Lynx had 12 hits for the game. CBC ended with 11 hits.
Game one (7-8) by the Numbers:

- Jalin Lawson (SR/Troy, AL), 2-4, 2R, 1 RBI

The second game was another close affair as LBU opened with a two-run first only to have CBC match in the second inning on a Deshun Hampton (FR/Little Rock, AR) hit and a Ben Madison (SO/Benton, AR) triple. The Mustangs would tie it up at 5-5 in the sixth only to have the Lynx add one in the bottom of the inning and another in the eight. Caulin Cragle (SR/Houston, TX) was charged with the loss in 5.1 innings of work. Cragle gave up six runs on seven hits, walking five and striking out seven.
Game two (5-7) by the Numbers:
- Ben Madison 2-3, 3R, 1 RBI
- Josh Hibbard (SR/Munford, TN) 1-5, 1R, 2 RBI
- Monterio May 2-5
- Four other Mustangs had one hit
UP NEXT: The Mustangs are on the road Tuesday, April 4th to Lyon College before returning home to host Henderson State University on Tuesday, April 5th. Both games are slated to begin at 2:00 pm.
