Heber Springs, Ark.- Members of the Central Baptist Women's and Men's Golf teams participated in the Natural State Classic at the Red Apple Inn, hosted by Harding University on Monday and Tuesday. The Classic featured 17 teams from both the NAIA and NCAA DIV 2.
Arkansas Tech University captured the Men's team event with a two-day total 576 (285,291). Host Harding University was second with a 579 (291,288) and Henderson State third 583 (292,291). Central Baptist College finished tied for tenth with a two-day total of 610 (309,301).
On the Women's side, Freed-Hardeman University claimed the title with a two-day total 666 (338,328). Arkansas Monticello was second scoring 669 (343,326) and Southern Arkansas University finished third at 685 (350,335).
CBC's MaKenzie Baker (SO/Holliday, Tx) finished 27th with a 191 (94, 97) +49 and Shelby Raborn (FR/Maumelle, Ark.) was 28th, 194 (97, 97). Freed-Hardeman's Kayland Boling led wire to wire and finished with a two-day 158 (81, 77).
Austin Harmon (SR/Bryant, AR) again led the Mustangs on the Men's side tying for eighth place in a field of 65. Harmon shot a +2, 144 (74, 70). Harding University's Mason Banger was medalist with a 140, -2 (71, 69).
