Oklahoma City, Okla. (Sept. 6, 2017) – Colton Ryan (FR/Benton, La.)'s two-under-par round of 70 placed him fifth individually and helped the Central Baptist College Mustangs 'A' team to a fourth place finish at the Southwestern Christian Invitational, which was played at the North Course of the Lake Hefner Golf Club.
Ryan's round put him at even par for the tournament and was good enough to make him the final medalist from the men's side. Ryan finished eight shots behind Kansas Wesleyan's Ben Hadden, who won the tournament with an eight-under-par score of 136.
As a team, the Mustangs 'A' team finished with a score of 593, which was good for 17-over-par and a fourth place finish, 16 shots behind Kansas Wesleyan's 'A' team, which shot a one-over 577.
- CBC's 'B' team was the 14th place finisher out of 15 with a final score of 640 (+64)
- Taylor Morton (SO/Lafayette, La.) was the next highest finishing Mustang, finishing with a score of 148 (+4) to take 16th
- Dylan Smith (FR/Melbourne, Ark.) and Leyton Clark (SO/Armorel, Ark.) (+5) also finished in the top-20, with scores of 149 in a tie for 17th
The Mustangs are back on the course next Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 11 and 12, in Oklahoma City for the U.C. Ferguson Classic, hosted by Oklahoma City University and played at the Lincoln Park Golf Course.
