Conway, Ark. (Sept. 9, 2017) – Central Baptist College cross country ran this morning in the UCA Cross Country Challenge, which was held on a three mile course at Beaverfork Park. It was the second meet of the season for the Mustang runners.
The men's team finished eighth out of nine that participated and the women's team finished ninth out of 11 teams that participated. Sean Baskin (SR/Magnolia, Ark.) was the highest finisher for the men and Macy Burroughs (SR/Vilonia, Ark.) led the women.
- Baskin's time of 20:32.6 saw him place 52nd in a field of 62.
- T.J. Tapley was the second highest finishing runner for CBC, finishing 54th with a time of 21:01.6
- Macy Burroughs finished 43rd out of 83 runners in the women's race with a time of 20:42.6
- Gloria Bell (SR/Mountain Home, Ark.) finished 52nd overall, posting a time of 22:28.7
The Mustangs will run again next Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., hosted by Missouri Southern State.
