Nevada, Mo. – Playing an American Midwest Conference road game for the first time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball was at Hinkhouse Gymnasium tonight for a matchup with the Cottey Comets. CBC (3-4, 1-2 AMC) led after the first three quarters, but were outscored 21-7 in the fourth, falling to Cottey (7-2, 3-0 AMC) 60-49.
Riley Whittington and Raigan Head were the co-leading scorers for CBC with 11 each. CBC did make 10 threes and were plus nine on the glass, but a nine minute scoring drought at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter made the difference in the game.
CBC is back on the court on Saturday afternoon when they take on Missouri Baptist in St. Louis. Tipoff from the Petty Student Resources Center is scheduled for 1 p.m.
