Conway, Ark. – Playing their final match at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse this season, Central Baptist College volleyball hosted the Stars of Stephens College in an American Midwest Conference battle this afternoon. CBC (7-13, 5-6 AMC) couldn't find enough offense to beat SC (14-15, 9-2 AMC), falling in straight sets by scores of 15-25, 14-25, and 13-25.
Aubree Ruggles and Lakyn Johnson were the co-kills leaders with five apiece while Brooke Schmitz led with 12 assists and Madeline Freeman led with eight digs. After the match, Schmitz, Sheridan Rogers, Kailee Walker and Faith Stone were recognized for their contributions to the program on Senior Day.
CBC will be the #8 seed in next week's AMC Tournament and will head to top-seeded Missouri Baptist for the quarterfinal round. First serve from the Petty SRC in St. Louis is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.
