Conway, Ark. – Stepping out of American Midwest Conference play for the final time this season, Central Baptist College men's basketball hosted the Dordt Defenders at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (5-9) struggled shooting and fell to DU (8-6) 85-61.
Derek Magwood led the Mustangs in scoring in his season debut with 16 points including 7-7 at the free throw line. Caleb Knight also finished in double figures with 14 and Keshun Brown added 11 off the bench. CBC had a lead early but couldn't overcome the strong shooting Defenders, who made half their shots from the field.
The Mustangs are off until Jan. 6 when they return to AMC play against Mission. Tipoff from Dowell Fieldhouse in Springfield, Mo., is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and can be watched live on watchamc.com and the UEN app on smart devices.
