Lady Mustangs' Season Ends In AMC Quarterfinals

Springfield, Mo. – Looking to continue an already historic season, Central Baptist College women’s basketball took on the Stephens Stars tonight in the quarterfinals of the American Midwest Conference Championship at W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC saw their season end at 11-16 with a 62-52 loss to the Stars.

Reddin Fieldhouse, Central Baptist College women’s basketball hosted Stephens College today with the possibility of their highest finish ever in the American Midwest Conference on the line. CBC (11-15, 8-10 AMC) trailed by 10 at halftime and nearly came back before falling to SC (14-14, 13-5 AMC) 81-73.

Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Playing away from home for the final time in the regular season, Central Baptist College women’s basketball took on the Williams Baptist Eagles tonight at the Southerland Mabee Center. CBC (11-14, 8-9 AMC) trailed at halftime and lost 88-62 to WBU (21-4, 15-2 AMC).

CBC (11-13, 8-8 AMC) was tied after a quarter, but trailed at halftime and dropped an 82-59 contest to SC (13-13, 12-4 AMC).

Central Baptist College women’s basketball hosted the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange in an American Midwest Conference contest tonight at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (9-11, 6-6 AMC) trailed by one after a quarter but outscored HLGU (5-17, 2-11 AMC) 22-10 in the second before dominating the second half in a 79-50 win and a season sweep of the Trojans.

St. Louis, Mo. – Addison Hudspeth’s three-pointer at the buzzer this afternoon gave Central Baptist College women’s basketball (7-11, 4-6 American Midwest Conference) a 65-63 win this afternoon at the Emerson Performance Center over Harris-Stowe State (4-12, 3-7 AMC). Hudspeth’s shot capped off a game that saw 6 ties and 17 lead changes.

Conway, Ark. – Playing their final game in the first half of the American Midwest Conference schedule, Central Baptist College women’s basketball took on in-state rival Williams Baptist tonight inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (6-10, 3-5 AMC) had an early first quarter lead, but trailed 50-33 at halftime before losing to WBU (13-3, 7-1 AMC) 103-58.

CBC (6-9, 3-4 AMC) led 33-29 at halftime but were outscored 52-26 in the second half to fall 81-59 to CC (16-2, 7-0 AMC).
