Hannibal, Mo. – Looking to bounce back from a tough loss on Tuesday, Central Baptist College men's basketball took on the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans today in an American Midwest Conference contest at the Mabee Sports Complex. CBC (5-11, 2-2 AMC) struggled shooting and missed an opportunity to send it to overtime with .3 left, falling to HLGU (8-6, 2-1 AMC) 58-57.
Caleb Knight led the Mustangs in scoring with 17 points off the bench while the only other Mustangs in double figures was Derek Magwood with 11. CBC won the rebounding battle 33-28 but only made three three-point field goals and were minus-13 in makes at the free throw line and minus-19 in attempts.
CBC returns to the court in a week when they take on Crowley's Ridge @ the Carter Activities Center in Paragould. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
