Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Playing for the final time before next week's American Midwest Conference tournament, Central Baptist College men's basketball took on the Eagles of Williams Baptist University inside the Southerland Mabee Center. CBC (10-16, 7-7 AMC) led 34-28 at halftime but couldn't hold on, falling 81-71 to WBU (20-4, 10-3 AMC).
Caleb Knight led the way scoring with 16 points while Dalton Alexander III had 15 and MacArthur Reed, Jr., finished with 11. CBC had more second chance points than WBU (21-17) but couldn't hold onto a 12-point lead with 14:09 to go.
CBC will be the four-seed in next week's AMC Tournament and will play either Crowley's Ridge or Mission in the first round. Tournament pairings and times will be announced next week.
