Men's Basketball Season Ends in AMC Semifinals

            Springfield, Mo. – Looking to advance to the American Midwest Conference championship game for the third consecutive season, Central Baptist College men's basketball took on #15 Columbia College this afternoon in the AMC semifinals at the W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC saw their season come to an end at the hands of Columbia 78-67.

            Tyler Johnson led the Mustangs in scoring with 20 points while Dalton Alexander III and Keshun Brown both had 11 points. Columbia won the game with four more made field goals, three more made free throws and a 40-33 edge in rebounding.

SEASON NOTES

  • CBC made 205 threes this season, the 15th time they have crossed 200
  • The Mustangs made 430 free throws, seventh most in a season all-time
  • CBC scored 2,065 points this season, scoring at least 2,000 points for the 11th straight season
  • Mac Reed's 121 assists rank him sixth in a single season
