Mustangs Finish Second at Freed-Hardeman Fall Invitational

Henderson, Tenn. – Entering the final round of the Freed-Hardeman Fall Invitational with a three shot lead, Central Baptist College men's golf was on course at the Chickasaw Golf Club today looking for their second win of the fall. CBC closed with an 18-over-par round of 306 to finish in second place, 12 shots off the winners, Tennessee-Southern.
Individually, Jakub Slapal closed with a 77 to finish at 146 in a tie for third place, two shots off the individual win. Kitsakon Jairak also finished in the top 10, closing with a 75 to shoot a 149 and finish in ninth place. Suraprat Pareepart closed with a 77 for a 153, Cooper Hermann shot a final-round 80 for a total of 154 and Preston Nestorenko improved by two shots with a 77 to finish at 156. Jack Higginbotham and Gustavo Bello both competed as individuals, with Higginbotham shooting an 84 for a 164 and Bello shooting an 85 for a 169 overall.
CBC wraps up their fall season next week when they host the CBC Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Arkansas. Teams will tee off starting at 8 a.m. on Monday.
