St. Louis, Mo. – Entering American Midwest Conference tournament play as the #7 seed, Central Baptist College men's soccer took on the #2 seed Missouri Baptist Spartans tonight in the AMC quarterfinals at Spartan Field. CBC (5-14) conceded early, tied the match, trailed at halftime and conceded two in the second half to fall to MBU (11-5-3) 4-1, ending their season.
Brayden Hall scored his first career goal in the 14th minute off an assist from Manny Almaraz after MBU grabbed the lead in the fifth minute. MBU would add goals in the 15th, 70th and 80th minutes to close down the season for the Mustangs.
MUSTANG NOTES
- CBC finished with five wins for the second straight season
- The Mustangs scored 22 goals this season, two shy of the 24 they finished with last season
- CBC recorded three shutouts on the season
