Conway, Ark. – Playing for the third time this week and the second time at home, Central Baptist College men's soccer hosted the Royals of Ecclesia College this afternoon at the Conway Soccer Complex. CBC (3-5-1) got two second half goals to beat EC (4-3-2) 2-0 and extend their streak of not allowing a goal to 190 minutes.
Hayes Lawrence broke the scoreless deadlock in the 69th minute, his first goal of the season, to make it 1-0 and Victor Alvarez secured the second goal in the 81st minute. Alvarez's goal was his third of the season and was assisted by Jared Nunes for his first assist of the season. Jasper Gadellaa posted his third clean sheet of the season, stopping the only shot he faced.
CBC returns to American Midwest Conference play for their next five matches, beginning with their match Tuesday night at Mission. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Lake Country Soccer Park in Springfield, Mo.
