Mustangs Open Season In Kansas

            Wichita, Kan. – Hitting the mat for the first time this season, Central Baptist College wrestling was at the Friends Falcon Open today. 11 wrestlers in nine weight classes competed today for CBC.

            Gabriel Martinez and Cameron Hooten both went 0-2 at 125 pounds. Maddox Atkins went 2-2 at 133 with his wins coming by fall on both occasions. Malakai Craig went 0-2 at 141 pounds while Mason Nguyen, one of two returners this season, went 2-2 at 149 with both wins coming by fall. Charles Webb went 0-2 at 165 pounds. Kendon Turrentine went 1-2 at 174 with his win coming by fall. The other returner, Jordan Allen-Smith, went 0-2 at 184. Jourdan Reeves went 1-2 at 197, winning by fall. Elijah Nichols went 1-2 at 285 winning by fall and Brayden Holley also went 1-2 at 285 with his win also coming by fall.

            The Mustangs head to Carl Albert, Okla., next week for the Viking Open hosted by Carl Albert State.
