Mustangs Drop First Two At Generals Showdown

            Alexandria, La. – Playing in a Louisiana Tournament for the second straight weekend, Central Baptist College softball was at the Generals Showdown today against Louisiana Christian and Texas A&M-San Antonio. CBC (2-4) dropped both games, losing to LCU (4-1) 3-1 before falling to TAMUSA (3-1) 8-3.

GAME ONE – LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN 3, CBC 1

            The Wildcats posted single tallies in the first, fourth and sixth innings while CBC's only run came on a Kinley Johnson RBI single in the third. Ryleigh Keele threw another complete game in the circle.

GAME TWO – TEXAS A&M-SAN ANTONIO 8, CBC 3

            The Jaguars scored one in the fourth, five in the fifth and two in the sixth for their runs. CBC took a 1-0 lead on an Eden East double in the second and increased the lead to 3-0 in the third with a double by Elizabeth Stoufer and a single by Johnson.

            The Mustangs play their final two games in La., tomorrow against #13 LSU-Alexandria and Texas A&M-Victoria with first pitch scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
