Gulf Shores, Ala. – Opening play in the Gulf Coast Invitational today, Central Baptist College softball took on the Point Skyhawks and the Brenau Tigers this morning. CBC (8-12) split, beating Point (6-7) 8-2 before losing to Brenau (7-6) 11-0.

GAME ONE – CBC 8, POINT 2

The game was scoreless through three innings before CBC finally broke through in the fourth when Taviah Bradley scored on a passed ball to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. Point tied the game in the bottom half before another passed ball gave CBC a 2-1 lead in the fifth. The Skyhawks again tied the game in the bottom half before the Mustangs blew the game open in the seventh.
