Branson, Mo. – Taking on the number one seed in the second round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament, the Central Baptist College softball team played the Williams Baptist Eagles this afternoon at the Branson Rec Plex. CBC (29-21) got an early home run to beat WBU (40-12) 3-1.
Kinley Johnson's three-run blast, her eighth of the season, in the third inning were the only runs the Mustangs scored. WBU scored on a double in the fourth, but that was the only blemish on Ryleigh Keele the entire game. Keele threw a complete game for her 15th win, allowing a run on four hits while striking out three.
The Mustangs will play Columbia in the AMC semifinals tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
