Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

St. Louis, Mo. – Playing for the first time in 10 days, Central Baptist College women's basketball was on the road for their American Midwest Conference opener tonight against the Eutectics of University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis at UHSP Gymnasium. CBC (2-1, 0-1 AMC) had an early lead, but UHSP (4-2, 1-0 AMC) had too much offense and pulled away in the second half, sending CBC to a 69-51 defeat.

Three Lady Mustangs, Olivia Lambrigtsen, Rhys Anderson and Diana Rivera were the co-leading scorers with eight points each. The key stats were an 18-0 run by UHSP in the first quarter and CBC forcing only 10 turnovers compared to committing 17, which led to 23 UHSP points.

CBC continues their AMC opening road trip on Saturday when they head to Nevada, Mo., for their first ever meeting with new AMC school Cottey. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m.
