St. Louis, Mo. – Heading to the road for the first time in three weeks, Central Baptist College women's basketball took on the Spartans of Missouri Baptist tonight in an American Midwest Conference contest at the Petty Student Resources Center. CBC (8-10, 3-10 AMC) trailed 40-20 at halftime and dropped the contest 93-51 to MBU (16-3, 12-1 AMC).
Three Mustangs finished in double figures scoring, led by Rhys Anderson with 13 points, while Caroline Citty had 11 and Olivia Lambrigtsen had 10. Lambrigtsen was also the leading rebounder, grabbing seven of CBC's 40 rebounds. The Lady Mustangs led once at 8-7 before MBU closed the first quarter on a 9-0 run.
CBC heads to Columbia on Saturday for a matchup with the Cougars of Columbia College. Tipoff from the Southwell Complex is slated for 1 p.m.
