Blue Mountain, Miss. – Playing on the road for the first time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball took on the Blue Mountain Christian Toppers tonight at Tyler Gymnasium. CBC (1-3) never led, falling 72-50 to BMCU (3-1).
Emma Welch led the way in scoring with a season-high 18 points and she was joined in double figures by Raigan Head, who had 15. Rebounding was the key stat in this game, with CBC losing the battle 50-31 resulting in 21 second chance points for BMCU.
CBC heads to Pineville, La., on Saturday for a rematch with La. Christian. Tipoff from West Fieldhouse is scheduled for 2 p.m.
