Conway, Ark. – Playing for the third time this week, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Cottey Comets this afternoon in an American Midwest Conference clash at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (5-8, 2-3 AMC) and Cottey (3-11, 2-3 AMC) were tied at halftime and the Comets finished on top 82-76.
Raigan Head had a double-double with 35 points and 16 rebounds while making 12 shots from the floor and 11 at the free throw line. Her point total ranks as the third highest in a single-game in program history. Her 16 rebounds mark the fourth time in her career she's had at 16 and her 12 made field goals tied her for third in a game and the 11 made free throws tied for second most. Anslee Ballew was the only other Mustang to finish in double figures with 13 points. The Lady Mustangs went 20-22 at the free throw line, but the game was decided from beyond the arc, where Cottey made eight shots and CBC made only two.
The Lady Mustangs are back on the road on Thursday for another AMC contest, this time against Crowley's Ridge. Tipoff from Paragould is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
