#LadyMustangsWin! CBC Knocks Off Crowley's Ridge Without Shooting a Free Throw!

            Paragould, Ark. – Looking to bounce back after a loss on Saturday, Central Baptist College women's basketball was at the Carter Activities Center tonight for an American Midwest Conference tilt with the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers. CBC (6-8, 3-3 AMC) used great defense and knocked down 11 threes to beat CRC (0-15, 0-6 AMC) 77-40.

            Raigan Head led the way with her third double-double in the last four games, scoring 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Addison Hudspeth and Riley Whittington also finished in double figures scoring with Hudspeth putting in 13 points and Whittington notching 12. CBC won despite not shooting a free throw, outrebounding CRC 53-42 and turning 20 Pioneer turnovers into 25 extra points.

MUSTANGS NOTES

  • The Lady Mustangs improved to 17-6 all-time against the Pioneers and avenged a loss in Paragould last year
  • CBC is now 5-1 when leading at halftime this season
  • CBC outscored CRC 38-14 in the paint and 19-9 in bench points

            The Lady Mustangs are home for homecoming on Saturday afternoon when they welcome the top team in the AMC, the Columbia Cougars. Tipoff from Reddin Fieldhouse is scheduled for 1 p.m. and homecoming festivities will follow right after the game.
