St. Louis, Mo. – Playing for the first time since a winter storm hit, Central Baptist College women's basketball was at UHSP Gymnasium tonight for an American Midwest Conference clash with the UHSP Eutectics. CBC (6-11, 3-6 AMC) got two program records from Raigan Head, but fell victim to a season sweep by UHSP (10-9, 7-2 AMC) 104-80.
Head scored 39 points on 12-20 from the field and made all 13 of her free throw attempts. The 39 points eclipses the previous record of 37 set by Izzy Arnold in 2020 against Baptist Bible. 13 made free throws eclipses the previous record of 12 which had been accomplished four times, most recently by Head against Cottey 364 days ago. Three other Mustangs finished in double figures scoring, with Anslee Ballew contributing 13, Destry Steele throwing in 12 off the bench and Addison Hudspeth chipping in 10.
The Lady Mustangs will stay in St. Louis and play Harris-Stowe on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff from the Emerson Performance Center is scheduled for 1 p.m.
