Lady Mustangs Make History With AMC Awards

            Chesterfield, Mo. – Three Lady Mustangs earned all-conference honors from the American Midwest Conference at tonight's awards ceremony. Raigan Head, Lexi Duck and Addison Hudspeth earned all-conference recognition.

            Head became the second Lady Mustang ever to earn a first team nod, joining Aminata Seck in 2021-22. Head finished fifth in the AMC in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game and led the AMC in rebounding, grabbing 10.2 rebounds per game. During the season, she set the record for total points, single-game points and single-game free throws made and tied the single-game record for rebounds.

            Duck was named the AMC's Freshman of the Year while also earning spots on both the All-Freshman and honorable mention teams. She's the first Lady Mustang ever to earn an of the year award and becomes the fifth player ever to earn a spot on the All-Freshman team. She averaged 10.1 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game during the season, finishing third on the team in scoring and rebounding.

            Hudspeth earned a spot on the honorable mention team after averaging 10.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, second on the team in both categories. She joins Holly Allen as the only other player to earn an All-Freshman team selection followed by an honorable mention. Kristyn Galloway was named the Champion of Character.

            The sixth-seeded Lady Mustangs take on the third-seeded Stephens Stars on Friday in the AMC quarterfinals. Tipoff from W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse in Springfield, Mo., is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
