Conway, Ark. – Playing their first match away from the friendly confines of Conway Soccer Complex, Central Baptist College women's soccer took on the Hendrix Warriors tonight in a crosstown clash at Warrior Field. CBC (0-2-1) got a first half goal and was tied at halftime before HC (2-0) scored twice in the second half to defeat CBC 3-1.
Kitanna Richards netted her second goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 19th minute to give CBC a 1-0 lead. Hendrix would tie the match 11 minutes later and post two second half goals to put the match away. Rebecca Vandenburg had 14 saves in net.
CBC returns home on Saturday for a match with the Stars of Oklahoma City. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
