Volleyball Swept on Day Two of Viking Invitational

            Marshall, Mo. – Looking to turn around their fortunes, Central Baptist College volleyball was on the court at the Viking Invitational again today for matches against Central Methodist and former AMC rival William Woods. CBC (0-5) was swept in straight sets by both CMU (3-1) by scores of 17-25, 16-25 and 12-25 and by WWU (7-2) by scores of 15-25, 11-25 and 15-25.

            Avary Smith led the way with four kills in both matches while Aubree Ruggles had a combined four service aces (one vs. CMU and three vs. WWU). Smith and Kate Scroggins also both tallied double figure dig numbers against the Owls, each registering 10.

            The Mustangs return to Conway on Friday for the first day of the Mustang Invitational. The Mustangs host a new program in University of the Ozarks to open the tournament at 10 a.m. with four games to follow between the five other programs that are playing.
