Mustangs Fall To Eagles To Open Home Invitational

            Conway, Ark. – Opening the 2025 Mustang Invitational this morning, Central Baptist College volleyball hosted the University of the Ozarks at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (0-6) won set one 25-19 before dropping the final three sets 22-25, 23-25 and 17-25 to U of O (2-0).

            Aubree Ruggles, Avary Smith and Lakyn Johnson all finished with double digit kills, 11 each for Ruggles and Smith and 10 for Johnson. Madeline Freeman led the way in assists with 22 and Kate Scroggins paced the team in digs with 23. Adalyn Dura also posted double figures in assists with 12 while both Smith and Freeman posted double-doubles, with Smith digging 16 balls and Freeman digging 15. CBC had 47 kills and hit .140 with eight aces and six total blocks while Ozarks had 51 kills, hit .177 and had only four blocks.

            CBC plays their final match of the Mustang Invitational tomorrow against Tougaloo at 12:30.
