Little Rock, Ark. – Stepping out of American Midwest Conference play for a midweek contest, Central Baptist College volleyball took on the Philander Smith Panthers tonight at Mims Gymnasium. CBC (3-11) won set three 26-24 but lost the other three sets to PSU (7-5) by scores of 21-25, 17-25, and 16-25.
Avary Smith led with 14 kills, Adalyn Dura led with 16 assists and Kate Scroggins had a team best 13 digs. Madeline Freeman posted a double-double with 13 assists and 12 digs while Ava White had 12 digs of her own.
CBC returns to A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse on Thursday for an AMC contest with Mission. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
