Mustangs Drop Contest To Pioneers

            Paragould, Ark. – Playing an American Midwest Conference match on a Monday for the first time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball was inside the Carter Activities Center tonight for a meeting with Crowley's Ridge College. CBC (3-13, 2-3 AMC) fell in straight sets to CRC (6-12, 5-0 AMC) by scores of 14-25, 13-25, and 17-25.

            Avary Smith had a double-double with 10 kills (while hitting .258) and a season-high 17 digs while Madeline Freeman also posted a double-double with 13 assists and 10 digs. Offense was the key to the match as CBC hit .047 with 26 kills while CRC hit .319 with 45 kills.

            The Mustangs return to action on Friday night when they head to Hannibal, Mo., for an AMC tilt against Hannibal-LaGrange, where CBC will look for a season sweep of the Trojans. First serve from the Mabee Sports Center is scheduled for 6 p.m.
