Streets Earns Athlete of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo. – For the first time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball has a player that has been named athlete of the week by the American Midwest Conference. DaiTona Streets was named defensive player of the week, presented by AMCOnTheGo this afternoon and is now eligible for selection as national player of the week, which will be selected tomorrow.
Streets helped the Mustangs go 3-1 on the week with two wins over Cottey and a victory over Williams Baptist, clinching a spot in the AMC tournament in the process. Streets had 16 total blocks and averaged 1.07 blocks per set this week, to go with 21 kills and four digs.
Streets and the Mustangs return to the court Friday afternoon for a match with Columbia. First serve is at 3 p.m. and the match will be live streamed on WatchAMC.com.
