Cross Country Competes at Steve Guymon Invitational

Searcy, Ark. – Running for the second time this season and the first time in Arkansas, Central Baptist College cross country was on the course tonight at Harding University for the Steve Guymon Invitational. Ally Swaim, Mackenzie Milligan and Ashleigh Gross-Mitchell competed on the women's side and Josh Brown set a record on the men's side.
Swaim was the top finisher for CBC in the 5K event for the women, posting a time of 24:39.9. Milligan was just a few seconds behind her at 24:44.8 and Gross-Mitchell posted a time of 25:58.0. Brown's record setting time in the 4-mile men's event was 27:05.9, which eclipsed the previous four-mile record by over two minutes.
CBC will take next weekend off before returning to the course on Sept. 30 in Fayetteville for the University of Arkansas' Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival.
