Shreveport, La. – Heading to the road for the first time since the third, Central Baptist College baseball took on the #1 LSU-Shreveport Pilots today at Pilot Field. CBC (9-10) scored in the fifth inning and lost to #1 LSU-S (14-2) 11-1.
George Astacio had a pair of hits and scored the only run, which came off the bat of Will Thompson in the fifth. Cody Kennon, Josh Lumsden and Cade Collins all had a hit as the Pilots scored two in the first, one in the third, four in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the seventh to end the game two innings shy of its scheduled distance.
CBC hosts Calvary University this weekend in a four-game series. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for noon.
