Conway, Ark. – After taking the first two games of their American Midwest Conference series against the Williams Baptist Eagles yesterday, Central Baptist College baseball went for the series sweep this afternoon at Bear Stadium. CBC (18-13, 4-2 AMC) led 6-0 after three innings but lost 20-9 against WBU (13-12, 4-2 AMC).
Garrett Fitts led the way offensively for CBC with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Aaron Prince also had a pair of RBIs, including his fourth home run of the season in the third inning, and Will Thompson had a pinch hit RBI double in the ninth. The Mustangs also got RBIs from Josh Lumsden, George Astacio and Cesar Franco.
The Mustangs start a five-game road trip on Tuesday when they take on College of the Ozarks. First pitch from Point Lookout, Mo., is scheduled for 1 p.m.
