Mustangs Split With Bobcats

            Point Lookout, Mo. – Beginning a five-game road trip in Missouri this afternoon, Central Baptist College baseball was at Bob Smith Field for a doubleheader against the College of the Ozarks Bobcats. CBC (19-14) split the doubleheader, taking game one 2-1 before dropping game two 7-2 to C of O (17-11).

GAME ONE – CBC 2, C OF O 1

            The Bobcats' lone run against Ethan Reisdorfer came in the fourth inning and gave C of O a 1-0 lead. CBC immediately responded in the top of the fifth, plating two runs on a single by Josh Lumsden to provide the winning margin. Reisdorfer got the win, throwing five innings and allowing just five hits and one unearned run with three strikeouts. Jamin Smith finished the contest with two hitless innings, striking out one.

GAME TWO – C OF O 7, CBC 2

            All seven of the Bobcat runs scored in the first three innings. CBC's runs came on Preston White's team leading fifth home run of the season in the fourth and a Garrett Fitts steal of home in the sixth.

UP NEXT

            The Mustangs head to Hannibal, Mo., this weekend for an American Midwest Conference matchup with the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for noon.
