North Little Rock, Ark. - Following an exciting win in extra innings in the opener of their American Midwest Conference series against Mission, Central Baptist College baseball hosted the final two games of the series today looking for a sweep. CBC (23-16, 8-4 AMC) was swept by MU (22-18, 9-3 AMC) falling by scores of 14-3 and 12-6.
GAME ONE - MISSION 14, CBC 3
Mission scored one run in the second inning, four in the third, three in the fourth, four in the fifth and two in the sixth. CBC had the lead twice, first in the first inning when George Astacio singled home a run to make it 1-0. Garrett Fitts gave the Mustangs the lead in the second with an RBI single, making it 2-1 at the time. In the seventh, a fielder's choice off the bat of Jackson Roark brought home the final run.
GAME TWO - MISSION 12, CBC 6
Mission scored all 12 of their runs in the first four innings. CBC finally got on the board with four runs in the fourth on a single by Ryan Dauphinee, an error, a Danilo Taborda groundout and a wild pitch. The final two runs for the Mustangs crossed the plate in the fifth on a fielder's choice off the bat of Fitts and a groundout by Cesar Franco.

CBC heads to Paragould this Friday to open their series with Crowley's Ridge. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
