#MustangsWin! CBC Sweeps Crowley's Ridge!

Paragould, Ark. – Looking for their second American Midwest Conference series sweep of the season, Central Baptist College baseball played the finale against Crowley's Ridge this afternoon at Pioneer Field. CBC (26-16, 11-4 AMC) pounded out 17 hits and scored 18 runs in an 18-5 romp of CRC (16-24-1, 3-11-1 AMC).
CBC scored 15 runs in the first three innings and three in the fifth and had an 18-0 lead after five innings. CRC scored all five of their runs in the fifth and sixth innings. The first four runs for the Mustangs came in the first inning on a two-run homer by Ryan Dauphinee, a single by Cesar Franco and a single by Danilo Taborda. Six more runs crossed the plate in the second on a Jaxon Kirkhuff double, an error, a single by Aaron Prince, and a wild pitch. Five more runs scored in the third on a two-run single by Taborda and Aaron Prince's third home run of the series, a three-run shot. In the fifth, Garrett Fitts and Preston White both had singles to drive in runs and CBC's final run scored on an error. Dylan Parton earned his eighth win, allowing four runs on seven hits in five innings with three Ks. Trey Watson allowed a run on two hits in the sixth and Jamin Smith struck out two of the four batters he faced in the seventh.
SERIES NOTES
- CBC has won six in a row against CRC and is 51-10 all-time against the Pioneers
- The Mustangs hit .424 in the three games with nine home runs
- Prince was eight-of-12 with a double, three home runs, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored
- In the second game Friday, White tied the single-game runs scored record with five
- Dauphinee had two doubles in the series and is now two off the program record
- CBC outscored CRC 49-16 in the series and 21 of the 49 runs came in the second inning

The Mustangs head to Columbia, Mo., next Friday to open an AMC series against the Columbia. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader is at noon.
