Williamsburg, Ky. – Looking to keep their season alive, Central Baptist College baseball took on Missouri Baptist today in an elimination game at Stigall Field. CBC (34-20) got a run in fourth inning, but MBU (40-11) knocked the Mustangs out, ending their season by a score of 9-1.
The Spartans tallied single runs in the first and third innings to put CBC down 2-0 after three. George Astacio cut the deficit to 2-1 with a sac fly in the fourth, but MBU scored four in the fifth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh to end CBC's run after only two games.
Congratulations to the baseball team on a historic season!
