Little Rock, Ark. – Making a trip to take on the first team they played this season, Central Baptist College men's basketball was at Mims Gymnasium tonight for a matchup with the Panthers of Philander Smith. CBC (3-6) outshot PSU (6-1) from three but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs were defeated 78-68.
Jason Hunt led four Mustangs in double figures with 22 points while Dalton Alexander III had 15, MacArthur Reed, Jr., had 12 and Tyler Johnson, who returned after missing the previous three games, had 10 off the bench. CBC made seven threes to five for PSU and equaled the Panthers on the glass at 38 while outscoring the Panther's bench 17-9.
The Mustangs return home on Saturday for a rematch with the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m.
